Overview:
MCMC is seeking an experienced RN to join their First Impressions team.This is a part time core, night shift position, scheduled 24 hours per week (2-12/hour shifts), and is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package or a 13% pay differential in lieu of benefits. This position is represented by the ONA.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for patient care within an assigned department/unit and participates as a member of the health care team in cooperation with and under the direction of the Department Director or designee as defined by Standards and Scope of Practice for the Registered Nurse {(ORS. 678.150/851-045-0030 through 851-045-0100) Nurse Practice Act (2008)}. The hospital-assigned Registered Nurse assesses, analyzes, plans, implements and evaluates patient care following established patient care standards for MCMC including those for patient assessment and transfer. Sharp clinical skills and critical thinking abilities are required. A thorough understanding of, and belief in the Planetree philosophy of patient-centered care is essential in order to provide the highest level of personalized care to our patients. Clinical skills in intrapartum, postpartum and neonatal care and two years of inpatient obstetric experience are strongly desired. Current Oregon RN licensure, NRP, and BLS are required.

Qualifications:
Minimum Education, Training & Experience (includes licenses or certifications):Education:Graduated from accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred, with a minimum of 650 clinical hours required. Oregon RN License BLS requiredNRP required within 90 days of hireACLS, RNC, and STABLE preferred Experience: Three years Labor & Delivery experience required, five preferred. Additional clinical experience requirements may vary dependent upon the specific department in which the position is utilized. Clinical skills in intrapartum, postpartum and neonatal care and two years of inpatient obstetric experience are strongly desired. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment and the ability to work unsupervised. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Experience with using every day technology tools (e.g, email, Microsoft Office, voicemail, internet/intranet to access, organize and store job-related information.A thorough understanding and belief in the Planetree philosophy of patient-centered care is essential in order to provide the highest level of personalized care to our patients.
