Job Description
The primary focus of the RN is to be a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients. The RN collaborates with other care workers to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care across the continuum. Sign On Bonus Available! Shift is: 7p-7:30a, weekends and Holidays
* Current license to practice professional nursing issued by the State of Pennsylvania
* Current CPR
* Neonatal Resuscitation Program (upon completion of orientation)
* STABLE Program (within 6 months of hire)
* Cardiac Advanced Life Support Program (within 6 months of hire)
* Basic Arrhythmia Course (upon completion of orientation)
* Fetal Monitoring Competency (upon completion of orientation)
Assesses patient and family needs upon admission and throughout the discharge.
Plans for Population Specific Care
Administers medications appropriately and safely.
Manages emergency situations as they arise.
Uses critical thinking skills when interpreting patient data.
Formulates and implements care according to the standards of practice, policy and procedure.
Directs and coordinates patient care team.
Delegates' tasks appropriately to ancillary staff.
Evaluates and documents care administered and patient response to care.
Adheres to the practice of Hourly Rounding and Bedside Shift Report.
Utilizes the Compassionate Care Model when performing patient care.
Utilizes Fetal Monitoring Competency.
Participates in OB Emergency Drills
Demonstrates ability to Care for Patient in Preterm Labor
Demonstrate ability to Care for Patient in Labor.
Demonstrate ability to Care for Surgical Patient in the FBS
Demonstrates the ability to care for the Neonate.
Demonstrates the ability to care for the patient requiring Bereavement Care.
Adheres to the Standards of Behavior.
Utilizes Chain of Command.
Completes assignments in allotted time frame.
Reports to patient assignment immediately upon notification.
