Responsibilities
The Clinical Educator for Maternal Child Services will be responsible and accountable for the planning, organizing, and evaluation of orientation for new employees and ongoing education for all employees of the Maternal Child Services Department. Assists with planning, organization, and coordination of all operational activities within the department. Provides input for hiring, evaluating, and termination process of employees. Involved in policy and procedure development, compliance with OSHA/JCAHO/AOA/DOH/HRU regulations, compliance with hospital rules and regulations, and implements the Performance Improvement process. Performs the functions of a registered nurse as needed. Must be knowledgeable of AWOHNN standards. May act in the role of director, in the director's absence.
Qualifications
* Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Florida
* Current American Heart Association BLS Certification
* ACLS, NRP, and/or required specialty training or course completion (or obtained within six months of employment) in required specialty.
* Fetal Monitoring class within the past two years preferably certified as an instructor
* Previous educator experience
* Current L&D experience (minimum 5 years)
* BSN required, Masters preferred.
* Intermediate computer skills, Microsoft office, Power Point. (Excel preferred)
