Provide professional nursing care in collaboration with members of the health care team in the ongoing assessment, planning and treatment of patients and families. In addition to providing hands-on nursing care, RNs work and serve in a broad range of capacities including, but not limited to, delegation, assessment, planning of care and treatment, teaching of the patient and the patient's family.

The RN is expected to exercise competency in judgment, decision making, implementation of nursing intervention, delegation of function or responsibility, and administration of medications and treatments prescribed by legally authorized persons.

We are looking to hire an experienced Registered Nurse for our Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Nampa. This position will be located at our Nampa Medical Center, conveniently located off I-84 and Garrity Blvd.

As an RN at Saint Alphonsus Health System, you provide hands-on patient care while collaborating with colleagues, maintaining accurate documentation, and utilizing resources wisely. You serve as a patient advocate by promoting physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being. You also educate patients, administer prescribed medications and treatments, and develop care plans based on patient needs.

About this Position: In this role, you will provide multi-disciplinary medical and surgical care for critically ill newborn infants who require treatment for a wide array of conditions. We are a fast-paced department that thrives on teamwork and passion to provide excellent care. Our ideal candidate is a dedicated team player who loves to learn and truly enjoys their calling in NICU nursing.

As a condition of employment for this role, you may be asked to float to other facilities, including Saint Alphonsus Boise and Nampa campuses.

You Should Have:

* Demonstrated team, analysis, presentation, and interpersonal skills

* Intermediate computer skills including medical record keeping

* Ability to work with a wide variety of people under adverse conditions

* One or more years of RN experience in a related area (NICU, L&D, OB, etc.) strongly preferred

License/Certification Requirements:

* Must have RN license in the State of Idaho prior prior to start.

* Basic Life Support for HealthCare Provider (BLS/HCP) certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS

* ACLS and NRP must be obtained within six months of hire date

* PALS, STABLE and NCC-EFM certifications required or obtained within one year of hire date
