We are searching for a Nurse Manager – Patient Care in the Family Centered Unit, under the general direction of the Director, Associate Chief Nursing Officer and Site Administrator or designee, to provide 24 hours leadership for clinical nursing practice of all ages or individually assigned units. Responsible for supervising assigned patient care staff, allocation of assigned staff and material resources to effect quality patient care outcome.  Duties include direct supervisory responsibility of a unit or department, where work performed is generally highly standardized and noncomplex. This level may also apply to positions involving responsibility for direct supervision over large and/or technical sections of major organization segments. Duties involve direct supervisory responsibility for up to and including 100 FTEs.

 

Hours: Full Time

 

Shift: Exempt; Day Shift, 7:00am-3:30pm

 

Location: Family Centered Unit – St. Luke’s Hospital – New Bedford, MA

 


Education and/or Experience Requirements:

 

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required. Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Current RN Registration in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required. BCLS Certification is required. A minimum of five (5) years related work experience and three (3) years supervisory experience is required.

 

 

*Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus and provide required vaccination documentation unless approved for an exemption or deferral by Southcoast prior to starting employment. *
