Overview:

NICU services are provided at both campus locations.
The Perinatal Regional Center and Level III and the Level II NICU are located at the CH Medical Center in Hopewell.
The NICU environment is designed to promote developmental and family centered care utilizing a single patient room design.
The RN is a member of a staff that includes the Nurse Manager, Assistant Nurse Manager and Technical staff and Unit Secretary.
The RN typically works 12 hour shifts
Responsibilities:
Delivers quality care to patients through a team effort in working with others through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
Assures patient safety by executing appropriate policies.
Uses considerable judgment in providing a wide variety of services.
Works with other healthcare professionals, including case managers, to optimize patient outcomes and customer satisfaction.
Educates patients and the public about various medical conditions.
Treats patients and helps in their rehabilitation; and provides advice and emotional support to patients' families.
Formulates and documents a discharge plan that maximizes the patient's ability to continue with meaningful life activities. Confers with treatment team regarding special needs of patient and family upon discharge
Requirements:
Associates degree or graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
BSN Preferred
Valid NJ RN License.
BLS certification

Effective September 7, all employees and medical staff at all Capital Health locations will be required to be vaccinated or subject to weekly testing, as required by the Governor of New Jersey's recent Executive Order 252.
