Maintains professional standards of conduct and ethics as outlined in department expectations and professional organizations. Provides education to patients, families, caregivers and other health professionals. Assists in the supervision of other staff members, students and volunteers, as appropriate. Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to patients'/caregivers' rights, as identified within the institution.Major Position Responsibilities: The position characteristics reflect the most important duties, responsibilities and competencies considered necessary to perform the essential functions of the job in a fully competent manner. Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to patients'/caregivers' rights, as identified within the institution.Qualifications: Qualifications RN Experience: Minimum one (1) year experience within a community and/or regional level 3 NICU, or completion of a formal Perinatal residency or externship training program, required.Two years' experience within a community and/or regional level 3 NICU, preferred.Work experience within the last 18 months in a community and/or regional level 3 NICU, preferred.Qualifications RN Transitional Experience: Two (2) years ICU, Acute Care, Post-Partum or Intermediate or Level 2 NICU experience as a Registered Nurse, required.Licenses:Current California RN License, required.Certifications:Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (healthcare provider), required.Current NRP, required.
