Overview:

Work in concert with the Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists to obtain high quality images and provide exceptional patient care.

Qualifications:

Education: Graduate of approved Ultrasound technology program, ARDMS certified required. Must be NTQR certified within first year's employment required. High School Diploma required.

Experience: None, but prefer OB/GYN Experience.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: ARDMS OB/GYN required. NTQR within first year required. Current CPR/BLS in adherence to policy NH-HR-3096 required.

Additional Skills Required: Working knowledge of various types of ultrasound equipment. Ability to successful complete Obstetric and Gynecologic ultrasound examinations without observation from Radiologist. Ability to successfully complete department-specific skills validation and competency testing; good communication skills, capable of functioning alone in diagnostic rooms; working knowledge of various types of ultrasound equipment, able to adapt to new and various situations and procedures according to age of patient served. Has ability to interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs.

Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Good communication skills Capable of functioning alone in diagnostic rooms. Able to adapt to new and various situations and procedures according to the patient served. Has ability to interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to his/her specific needs.Able to work in an environment with contaminated equipment and infectious diseases.
