Responsibilities:
Responsible for the coordination of activities that will promote, support, and educate new and expectant parents about breastfeeding. Actively participate in the patient education program for Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center and participate in education for the staff of Womens Services and comply with educational requirements for OBHRU including monthly drills. Assumes shift responsibility and accountability for the planning and provision of direct and indirect nursing care to the patient, family, care partner and appropriate others. Coordinates multi-disciplinary team members, directs and facilitates nursing staff in obtaining safe, optimal health care outcomes. Supports activities that meet the facility vision, mission and goals. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The people in this position is responsible for the coordination of activities that will promote, support, and educate new and expectant parents, Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center employees and the community about breastfeeding. They will actively participate in the patient education program for Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center. Qualifications:
Must have Registered Nurse license in the State of Texas. Current BLS/CPR required. NRP, ACLS, and Intermittent Fetal Monitoring. Minimum of two to three years experience in L, Post-partum/ mother baby nursing. One to three years supervisory experience preferred.
