About Summerlin Hospital:Summerlin Hospital is a 485-bed hospital featuring emergency services; a busy maternity department with an average of 450 deliveries per month; a Childrens Medical Center with a NICU, a pediatric ICU and separate pediatric ER; advanced cardiovascular care, surgical services, womens health and oncology care. Summerlin Hospital is an accredited Chest Pain with PCI facility and a Primary Stroke Center, and has received multiple awards from the American Heart Association Get With the Guidelines program.Job Description:Provides coordination of patient and staff education to support, protect, and promote breastfeeding.

Qualifications:
Job Requirements:Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.Experience: Minimum of ten years nursing experience, at least one year in obstetric setting with focus onthe breast feeding process. Demonstrate a working knowledge of the current Nevada State Board of Nursing Practice.License/Certification: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada. Association withprofessional nursing associations related to practice. Current IBCLS/IBCLC or CLC certificationrequired. Current BLS and NRP required.Other: Must comply with hospital-based competencies regarding blood-borne pathogen exposure, age specific care and patient safety.Note:Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/serviceappropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/departmentTesting:Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
