Summary: The Registered Nurse Lactation Consultant provides knowledge in the practice of lactation management. The Registered Nurse diagnoses lactation problems, plans and implements intervention and evaluation outcomes. The RN conducts prenatal breastfeeding classes and evaluates educational outcomes. The RN provides consultation and outpatient care for families experiencing difficulty breastfeeding. The Registered Nurse also serves as a consultant for healthcare providers concerning lactation as it relates to patient's health problems. Requirements: Associates Degree in Nursing
