SUMMARY
As a Registered Nurse - Educator, your in-depth knowledge and outstanding communication skills are key in fostering quality care, enhanced wellness and ongoing growth and development throughout Rochester Regional.
The Labor & Delivery Unit (3800) at Rochester General Hospital is a 16 bed unit, with an additional 8 bed triage. Over 2,200 deliveries annually. Nurses will care for patients during labor & delivery, pregnancy, & high risk pregnancy.
STATUS:Full Time
DEPARTMENT:Labor & Delivery
ATTRIBUTES
+ Bachelor's degree required in nursing, health education, or instructional development or i n lieu of degree, equivalent combination of education and healthcare related work experience will be considered
+ Minimum of three (3) years of prior training/teaching experience in related educational field
+ Kind, understanding and strong attention to detail
+ Must be currently registered and licensed by NYS as a registered professional nurse.
RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Evaluation.Identify and validate the learning needs of customers by utilizing needs assessments, CQI results, performance improvement results, customer surveys and course evaluation results; document the effectiveness of educational offerings by developing, monitoring and assessing competencies; analyze cost to maximize the efficient utilization of resources
+ Development.Create educational programs and curriculum that promote quality healthcare, employee/patient growth and personal wellness; provide leadership in areas of expertise as a resource to the customer; develop communications and audio-visual materials that are clear and concise
+ Implementation.Facilitate programs to meet the identified learning needs of our customers; provide in-depth orientation, in-service and continuing education for staff or patients

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONSBLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA); RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)

Nurses who advance on our clinical ladder receive a promotion at the bedside through growth in their skillset, a new title and monetary recognition up to $3.00/hour
Rapid Pay Increases
Receive rapid pay increases every six months during the first two years of employment, and annual increases thereafter.
Unlimited Certifications
Nurses earn up to an additional $1.00/hour for each certification earned plus a $1,000 bonus for the first certification earned, and $500 for the second certification.
