Registered Nurse RN - NICU - Resource Pool

Our NICU - Resource Pool position will work in both the Gainesville and Braselton NICUs.

Gainesville Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) services a 26-bed unit that primarily provides care for premature and term neonates.

Braselton NICU, which is an 8-bed unit providing care for Level II premature and term neonates.

This full-time 7:00 am-7:00 pm position calls for a capable clinician with previous NICU experience to focus on expanding knowledge and skills.

• Consistently provides effective direct care as part of the interdisciplinary team to a variety of complex patients.
• Seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice.
• Assumes a beginning clinical bedside leadership role and seeks mentoring in this process.
• Is a professional member of VOICE, participates on Nursing Quality Teams and actively participates with unit council helping to improve NDNQI nursing sensitive indicators and Patient Experience data.
• Responsible for providing direct and safe patient care based on the nursing process, and for coordinating care for assigned patients on a shift to promote the achievement of clinical outcomes.
• Requires consultation with more experienced clinicians and benefits from feedback.

Required:

• Active GA RN license.
• Associate Nursing Degree Required; Bachelor of Nursing Degree Preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience as an RN providing care in a Level II NICU setting.
• NRP certification required upon start date.
• STABLE certification highly recommended.
