Inova L. J. Murphy's Children's Hospital is home to the largest, most comprehensive subspecialty neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) in the region. Our 108-bed, Level IV NICU cares for high-risk infants requiring specialized care and observation. The NICU is also the first in the nation to receive The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval™ for Prematurity. At least 1 year of RN clinical experience in a Critical Care setting or completion of a Critical Care fellowship.1 - 2 Years Of NICU Experience Strongly Preferred.
Education: BSN or MSN or
If Associates Degree RN - Within 6 months of start date, meet with nurse leader:
- Identify which Accredited School the employee plans to attend
- Submit a review of transcript from the school indicating the required pre-requisites and timeline for taking the courses
- Provide a written plan with anticipated BSN completion date.
- Complete BSN within 24 months of start date
American Heart Association BLS certification for Healthcare Provider.
RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RN.
Proficient in English, strong verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional interpersonal skill and the ability to display a caring demeanor towards others.About Us
