Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Nurse (NICU RN)

A medical facility in Virginia is currently seeking a new, licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their growing Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Responsibilities:

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Nurse (NICU RN):

• Plans, provides, and monitors individualized nursing care in response to specific patient needs within a defined scope of practice
• Provides developmentally appropriate psychosocial and clinical care respective to the assigned patient population
• Performs other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience working within a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
• Associates Degree in Nursing
• VA Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS and CPR certifications
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Knowledge of Advanced therapies, such as Nitric Oxide & Hypothermia
• Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
• Patient oriented
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (Written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized
