WCS Healthcare offering up to $2,500/week for a contract in a prominent Brooklyn Hospital who is looking to hire a Labor & Delivery Nurse. This is a full time position and the client has Days and Night Shifts Available.

Job Function:

• Day/Night Shift
• Assists in development, implementation, and evaluation of standards of care and professional practice in collaboration with members of the health care team and in accordance with institutional policies and regulatory agency requirements
• Assesses and evaluates patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered and applies sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions
• Provides direct, continuous, (where applicable), care for a specific caseload of patients through application of the nursing process based upon theory, research, and approved Department of Nursing and institutional standard
• Coordinates patient care activities, based on established priorities, including teaching, rounding, counseling, and discharge planning, and directs/delegates appropriately to members of the health care team

Job Requirement:

• Active BLS from the American Heart Association and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications
• Active professional license within the state of practice
• Specialty-related certifications are preferred and may be required for specific positions
• Experience as a mother-baby nurse
• Minimum of two years of experience as an RN
