Overview:
The Perinatal Health Educator non-RN provides perinatal education/information to patients, families, team members, and community based on individualized needs in accordance eith current standards, policies and procedures.This position will be teaching Spanish childbirth and newborn classes in both GCM and GWM.At Novant Health, one of our core values is diversity and inclusion. Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma required. Associate Degree in related field preferred.Experience: Minimum three years in area of specialization, health education, health promotion, nursing or social work. Minimum of three years in a professional work setting required.Licensure / Certification / Registration: Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator (LLCE) required.Additional Skills/Requirements required:Knowledge, ability and skills to support perinatal education to accommodate cultural diversity, age specific or behavioral needs among patients being served. Ability to drive/travel to multiple locations/facilities as needed.
