Overview:

M Health Fairview Health Services is looking for a RN in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN. This is a night position,12 hour shifts with every third weekend. Benefit eligible.

The NICU is an 18 bed Level III nursery where we provide care for neonates 30 weeks gestation and above. We have advanced practice providers in house 24/7/365 who, along with neonatologists, partner with our nurses to provide the highest quality patient care and exceptional experiences in an environment that is focused on patient safety, teamwork and professional growth and development. Our team provides developmental care in a family centered environment. The person in this position will also work in postpartum when needed.

Responsibilities/Job Description:

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

MN RN License

BLS for Health Care Providers

Must have current RN NICU experience or 1 year of acute care RN ER or ICU experience.

Preferred Qualifications

BSN/BAN

NRP

Electronic Charting (EPIC)

Demonstrate the ability to work under stress in a variety of situations.

Excellent customer service and communication.

Proficient in the English language

Attention to detail

Ability to problem solve effectively
