RN Labor & Delivery/Med Surg | $5,000 Sign On

Tri-County Health Care has a Full-Time Labor and Delivery/Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) position open at the Wadena campus. We are looking for an energetic and compassionate OB nurse with at least 1 year experience in Labor and Delivery to work 12 hour night shifts at a small rural hospital with approximately 130 deliveries annually. At times, will be the only scheduled Labor and Delivery nurse on shift. If no Labor patients or postpartum couplets in the hospital, must be willing to take Medical Surgical patients.This position is full-time, 36 hours per week (12 hour shifts), including every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays. Candidates with 1 or more years' experience in Labor and Delivery eligible for a $5,000 sign on bonus.Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Assists the provider with examinations and procedures for safe maternal/infant care
• Uses and maintains equipment in obstetrical areas
• Sets up room for delivery and assists the provider in delivery care
• Conducts and documents patient teaching and discharge instructions

Competencies required include:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Understanding of health care system and continuum of care
• Proficient computer and telephone skills
• Commitment to providing excellent patient care and overall experience

Education and experience required:

• Current licensure as Registered Nurse (RN) in Minnesota
• At least 1 year experience in Labor and Delivery

Sign on bonus:

• $3,000 sign on bonus for candidates with 1+ years' experience in Labor and Delivery
