The Labor and Delivery unit functions within Perinatal Services at IU Health Bloomington Hospital, and consists of 12 inpatient beds, a 4-bed triage area, 2 Operating Room Suites, and a 3-bed recovery room. This unit provides inpatient and outpatient care coordinated by L&D RNs to serve the needs of antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum patients and their newborns. Our unit focuses on evidenced based care to ensure we are providing the best, most up to date care to our patients. Additional support is provided for patients and staff through the interdisciplinary team whose membership includes NICU, Adult ICU/PCU and respiratory therapy. * Requires an Associate of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
* Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
* Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.
* Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
* Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
