Summary
The Registered Nurse Educator assesses, designs, presents or manages, and evaluates educational programs, in-service and orientation for designated Nursing and Non-Nursing personnel that falls within the general nurse educator's assigned set of departments/facilities or service area, using the hospital market model. The Registered Nurse Educator assists with competency development and maintenance of department-specific competencies and specialty certification. The Registered Nurse Educator consistently collaborates with the leadership team to ensure that all educational programs, in-service, and orientation remains relevant to the goals established by the hospital market and at the corporate level.
Qualifications
* Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing-BSN or equivalent.
* Current RN Licensure in state of Texas
* CPR/BLS certification
* Certified instructor for/of certification(s) required by staff in assigned service area(s) - within 6 months of hire
