We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Labor & Delivery Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dynamic team in New York City. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of pregnant patients, including histories, physical examinations, and fetal monitoring.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients in labor, coordinating with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals.
- Manage labor progression and assist with delivery, including performing procedures as needed (e.g., episiotomies, suturing).
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor, identifying and responding to complications promptly.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and improve clinical practices.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory and institutional standards.
Qualifications:
- Active NP license in the state of NY
- 1 to 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience (preferred)
- Active DEA
