Jackson Memorial Hospital is a 1,500-bed teaching hospital and trusted leader in healthcare, serving Miami-Dade Country for over 100 year. The Women’s Hospital at Jackson Memorial offers comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology services for women in South Florida. In particular, we specialize in high-risk pregnancies and maternal care. In fact, we’re the only academic medical center in South Florida providing expert high-risk pregnancy care and high-risk neonatal care under the same roof.

Job Summary: 

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Labor and Delivery Nurse Manager to lead our team of skilled professionals in delivering high-quality patient care.  As a Nurse Manager, you will oversee daily operations, drive excellence in patient satisfaction, and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Lead team of 75+ nurse and support staff
• Manage daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to drive quality improvement initiatives
• Foster a culture of safety, respect, and emphathy

Unit stats: 

• 4,000-4,500 births annually
• Brand new L&D unit with wireless fetal monitoring 
• Largest Level IV NICU in the region
• VBAC Center of Excellence
• Accreta Center of Excellence 

Requirement: 

• Current RN license 
• BSN is required
• Labor and Delivery experience required
• 2+ years of leadership experience required
• Strong communication, coaching and mentoring skills
