Overview:
The NICU IMC unit at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital is offering a $7,500 sign on bonus.
The NICU at University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital has staff with extensive specialized training and experience to provide stabilizing and life-saving care for sick newborns. Through teamwork and collaboration, we respectfully address the physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual needs of pediatric patients and their families. Our compassionate, innovative approach has repeatedly received national recognition. In 2021, three medical specialties at University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital were nationally ranked on U.S. News & World Report's annual Best Children's Hospitals list. We are a designated March of Dimes NICU Family Support® program and have a Neuro NICU with specialized care for babies with neurologic conditions.
NICU Department:
Level IV NICU
Neonatal Nurse Practitioners on Staff 24/7.

NICU- Intermediate Care Unit (IMC)
Level II and III
25 beds
Caring for premature babies 33 weeks and above.
Offer a variety of respiratory modalities; Conventional Ventilator, Stable Trachs, and HFNC.
RNs must become NRP certified.
1-3 patients per RN depending on stability of the baby
This position is 60 hours in a 2 week period on the night shift, 12 hour shifts and every 3rd weekend. This position is benefit eligible including loan reimbursement.
Responsibilities/Job Description:
Provides care to critically ill premature infants and neonatal patients needing close observation.
Performs advanced monitoring using current technology
Cardio respiratory monitoring
Defibrillator
Varitrend monitoring
Care for patient undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures/interventions on the unit.
Qualifications:
Required:
1 year of RN experience
MN RN License
BLS
Preferred:
NICU RN experience
