Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Newborn Nursery

Job Specialty: Newborn Nursery

Shift: 06:45 - 18:45, every other weekend

Experience: Minimum of 1 year

License: RN License

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

Must-Have:
- BLS and NRP certifications

Job Description:

- Work in a unit equipped with 15 labor beds, 3 operating rooms, and a 6-bed recovery bay.
- Collaborate with a team of 6 staff members, including 3 RNs for both day and night shifts.
- Manage patient ratios of 1:6, ensuring high standards of care.
- Utilize equipment such as oxyhoods, pulse oximeters, scales, glucometers, and vital sign machines.
- Engage effectively with the EMR systems CPN and Meditech.
- Adapt to a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.
- Participate as an active team player, willing to learn and support colleagues.
- Adhere to the dress code with Galaxy Blue scrubs.
- Benefit from a unit passionate about adapting new technology and recognizing staff achievements through awards and tenure recognition.

This position does not involve permanent roles, call requirements, or typical procedures beyond standard care practices. Candidates with STABLE certification are preferred.
