Our client, a modern, Baby-Friendly designated hospital located one hour from Monterey, California, is seeking an experienced Nursing Director of Obstetrics to lead their dynamic team and continue elevating patient care.

Position Overview:

As the Nursing Director of Obstetrics, you will oversee the hospital’s Birthing Center and a dedicated team of 28 FTEs. With 400 births annually, this state-of-the-art center features six private, hotel-style birthing suites, providing a comfortable and serene environment for families. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional clinical standards while nurturing a collaborative, patient-centered culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a high-performing obstetrics unit with 28 staff members.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the hospital’s Birthing Center.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to elevate patient care and staff engagement.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance maternal and newborn outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and hospital policies.

Qualifications:
