HPX NICU is a 25 bedLevel III Unit caring for infants 23-42 weeks gestation. We have a staff of 5 Neonatologistandexperienced NursePractitioner working alongside experienceRN's who specialize in Neonatal Care. Responsibilities:
The charge nurse coordinates the nursing services of departments by leading, directing and collaborating within the interdisciplinary care team. Serves as department leader alongside and in absences of Nurse Manager. Performs RN essential functions to include, but are not limited to: collaboration with other health professionals, assessment, analyzing assessment data, establishing goals, planning care strategy, establishing priorities of care, implementing care, delegating tasks safely, providing safe direct and indirect nursing care, evaluating responses to interventions, and performing additional nursing functions in accordance with knowledge and skills acquired beyond basic nursing preparation.

Qualifications:
EDUCATIONDiploma or Associates degree (ADN) required.Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.EXPERIENCE1 year NICU experience required.Along with previous work history reflecting stable employment.(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience).LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONCurrent Oklahoma Registered Nurse license or activemulti-state RN license.Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) training preferred.Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) training is required within 6 months of hire.Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
