Genie Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Post Partum for a travel nursing job in Salinas, California.
Job Description & Requirements
Job#18129 Minimum 2 years experience working in Post Partum setting. Will rotate working in the nursery; will go to the OR and help with skin to skin and will be the baby nurse while Mom is in recovery. Will provide breast feeding support. May be responsible for managing post partum patients on magnesium sulfate drip. Ratio is 1:3, but will adjust if patient is an unstable magnesium sulfate drip. There is a Charge RN available on each shift that does not take a patient assignment, and at least 1-2 Nursing Assistants available on the floor. There is a Medical Unit Clerk available Mon-Fri who will schedule follow up appointments. May float to L&D and take care of a stable couplet once repair is complete and baby is stable, or may float to Pediatrics and serve as an extra set of hands. Pediatrics has a low average daily census. Requirements: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of California, BLS issued through American Heart Association and NRP.
