RN with OB Experience needed for Summer/Fall Assignment

The OB RN will be needed from June 14-mid September. 36 hours/week night 12 hour night shift 7p-7a and working every 3rd weekend. BLS certification required with NRP preferred.
Responsible for the performance of routine nursery duties, postpartum care, and Labor/Delivery national standards of care. Must be able to operate warmer, isoolette, bili-lite, oximetry, etc. Assess newborn status and take appropriate action. Must be knowledgeable in NRP and take actions according to NRP guidelines. Must provide observation of newborn. Must be able to assess and observe postpartum patients. must be able to teach postpartum patients about care of the newborn. Must be knowledgeable of principles of breast and bottle-feeding and be able to teach these to postpartum patients. Must be adaptable to new trends in newborn-care. Must be thoroughly acquainted with the techniques of asepsis, sterilization, and good hand washing. Must be able to set up delivery table if needed. must be knowledgeable about nursery security.
