Overview:
Fairview Health Services is searching for enthusiastic RNs looking for a rewarding career in our NICU unit located at our Burnsville, Minnesota campus.
Fairview Ridges NICU staff provide patient and family centered care in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for high risk newborns/infants and premature infants. This is a day/night position, 12 hour shifts with 2 out of 6 weekends. Benefit eligible.
About this Position:
The RN's attend high risk deliveries. Caring for Babies born at 28 weeks, up to 23 beds.

Responsibilities/Job Description:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Active MN RN License.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare provider certification.
NRP certification or obtained as soon as possible after hire.
One year of RN experience in a level II or Level III nursery or a Capstone in NICU
Communicate with and educate patients and families who come from a diverse background.
Preferred Qualifications
BSN
Two to five year of acute care RN NICU experience in a level II or Level III nursery.
Other Required Skills
Good customer service
Adapt to an every changing environment.
Must practice on-stage and off-stage behaviors consistently and appropriately.
Demonstrate the ability to work under stress in a variety of situations.
Excellent customer service and communication.
Ability to perform nursing duties required for assigned clinical setting.
Proficient in the English language
Attention to detail
Ability to problem solve effectively
