The University of Rochester School of Nursing is seeking scholars with a developing program of research representing diverse backgrounds to become a member of our tenure track faculty. These faculty members will focus on conducting research, teaching and mentoring, and contributing to the leadership of the school.

The successful candidate for this position will have peer-reviewed publications and an emerging program of independent research with potential for extramural funding. This is evidenced by conceptualizing, designing, planning and implementing research projects in his/her area of expertise. Faculty members are required to develop and lead grant proposals to secure extramural funding to support research and to engage in ongoing scholarships as evidenced by presentation and publication of research findings.

The candidate for this position needs a high level of expertise in research methodologies, techniques, and analytic software in the candidate’s area of focus and solid understanding of a wide range of research methods are expected. The successful candidate will demonstrate commitment to being a collaborative team member in the School of Nursing, supporting the mission of the school, and working in a collegial manner with health care professionals and researchers across disciplines.
