The NICU is recognized as a Level IV NICU - the highest level of care for neonates. We are a designated March of Dimes NICU Family Support program and have a Neuro NICU for babies with neurologic conditions.
NICU Level IV:
* 49 beds
* Provides developmentally appropriate care to infants born 22 weeks and above
* 1-2 patients per RN depending on stability of the baby
* Neonatal Nurse Practitioners on Staff 24/7

This position will be working 72 hours every two weeks on the day/night shift, 12 hour shifts and every third weekend.
This position is eligible for a sign on bonus up to $13,500 based on experience.
Responsibilities/Job Description
Provides care to patients with complex NICU needs.
* Performs advanced monitoring using current technology
* High Frequency ventilation
* Cares for surgical patients with congenital anomalies, intubated patients and patients with tracheostomies
* Total Body Cooling (TBC), Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), Peritoneal Dialysis (PD)
* Central arterial lines/monitoring and other venous lines
Qualifications
Required:
* 1 year of RN experience OR at least 6 months of current employment at UMMCH as a NICU RN
* MN RN License
* BLS
Preferred
* BSN or BAN
* Certification in related specialty.
Additional Requirements:
* Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 6 months of hire
