Provide primary care to pregnant women during antepartum and intrapartum, and the immediate postpartum recovery period. Provide newborn assessment and care during intrapartum and immediate postpartum recovery period. Circulate in the L&D OR with cesarean sections, tubals, and D&Cs. Provide primary care to the immediate postoperative/postpartum patient in L&D PACU. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the obstetrical patient's needs using the nursing process. Actively participates in providing obstetrical patient care as defined by the multidisciplinary plan of care.
Qualifications: RN with a current SC license required. Labor & delivery experience, ACLS, and NRP preferred. ADN candidates must be enrolled in a BSN program within 18 months from date of hire and are required to obtain BSN within four (4) years of date of hire. For current AnMed Health Associate Degree Nurses (ADN) who were hired as RNs prior to January 1, 2013, and already working as an acute care Staff Nurse as of that date, the requirement to obtain BSN within four (4) years will be waived.
