We are seeking a Fetal Surgery CoordinatoRN for our center to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Ensure that fetal surgery cases are scheduled, staffed with appropriate MD, RN, Anesthesia and Scrub resources.
  • Responsible for scheduling and conducting drills for fetal surgery cases with L/D and surgical services staff
  • Work with the Fetal Care Center to establish quality measures for the fetal surgery program
  • Responsible for primary circulator for fetal surgery cases
  • Work closely with Fetal Care Center as the central point of contact for cases
  • Ensure all equipment and instrumentation are ready for surgeons.
  • Work with Perinatal Program Manager for Texas State Fetal Designation
  • Develop policy and procedures for fetal surgery cases
  • Work with Women's Services Educator to develop education plan and quarterly competencies for L/D staff
  • Support the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
  • BSN Required
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Level 4 labor and delivery unit is required
  • Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license
  • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider
  • NRP required
  • RNC-OB within 6 months of hire
  • ACLS (AHA or ARC) required within 6 months of hire
