JOB DESCRIPTION
Labor and Delivery Fellowship
10-14-week program specifically designed for experienced nurses with no Labor and Delivery experience. Upon completion of this program, the RN will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to perform as a safe, competent L&D Nurse.
RN will effectively learn to provide family-centered care, utilizing the entire interdisciplinary team
This program offers paid ancillary classes outside of bedside orientation to supplement learning and increase knowledge base, including: NRP, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring, Diabetes in the OB Population, OB Perioperative, Labor Pain Management, AWHONN Specific Modules, plus shadowing experiences with Lactation Consultation.
The RN will be supported by consistent preceptors and a Unit Based Clinical Nurse Educator to guide learning throughout the entire program.
Mom Baby Fellowship
6-9 week program specifically designed for experienced nurses with no Mother Baby experience. Upon completion of this program, the RN will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to perform as a safe, competent Mother Baby Nurse.

NICU Fellowship
The orientation process is an individualized and diversified approach to give you what you need to be successful in neonatal nursing care. To help you integrate into the team approach of nursing care, you will be held accountable for skills and knowledge that allows you to be flexible across the continuum of care. Each hospital within UCHealth has its own specialized NICU. These NICUs range in size and levels, from 6 to 50 beds. They vary from level II Special Care Nurseries that care for infants ≥ 34 weeks, up to level III Units that care for infants ≥ 23 weeks. Though each hospital's NICU may differ in size, they all promote family-centered care and model excellence, integrity, and prioritize patients first.
Summary:
Provides direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

Work Schedule: Full Time Nights

Responsibilities:
Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Provides complex care in various stages of the obstetric and neonatal progression of care which may include antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, well newborn, Special Care Nursery or Neonatal Intensive Care. Provides operative and postoperative care for the obstetric patient. Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel.

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Minimum Required Education: Graduate of an accredited Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
Required Licensure/Certification: State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider and any relevant life support certification as determined at position level.
Minimum Experience: 6 months of nursing (RN) experience
* BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire. All life support certification cards must be issued by either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. (American Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer is only good upon hire and all renewals will need to be through an American Heart Association sanctioned course.)

The pay range for this position is: $31.50 - $48.83 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
An annual bonus may be paid to eligible employees based upon organizational and individual performance.
