Our doctors and nurses have been delivering babies since 1959. We have an excellent medical staff of obstetricians, pediatricians and family practitioners, as well as experienced and well-trained nurses who welcome more than 700 babies into the world each year.

The Labor and Delivery RN provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice in Labor & Delivery.

Reports to: Director Women's Health

Job Requirements:

Minimum Education
Associate's degree in Nursing or RN Diploma - Required

Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree in Nursing - Preferred

Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Computer proficiency required.

Required Skills
Certifications:
BLS certification from approved American Heart Association training center required to be current upon hire.
NRP & ACLS certification from approved American Heart Association training center required within 6 months of employment.

Required Skills
Licenses: State of Tennessee or Multi-State Registered Nurse licensure - Required

Minimum Work Experience
1 year Labor and Delivery nursing experience - Preferred
