Clinical Nurse Manager - RN - Labor & Delivery - Evenings
The NewYork-Presbyterian Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns is a leader in providing outstanding, compassionate, personalized care to pregnant women, newborn babies and their families. The 222,000 square foot facility ,that opened August 2020, features 75 private rooms and well-baby bassinets, 60 private neonatal intensive care isolettes, 16 labor and delivery rooms, five operating rooms, 20 maternal critical assessment and treatment rooms, and 15 ultrasound rooms, which will offer state-of-the-art visualization. It is the first facility in New York City to have MRI capabilities and an operating room in its neonatal intensive care unit. Bring your passion for team-building to the #1-ranked hospital in New York (U.S. News & World Report), and drive nursing excellence across postpartum, labor & delivery, and NICU units. Coordinate all aspects of clinical care to ensure the delivery of high-quality, family-centered services to our patients. Assist with unit administration, including the management of staffing needs. Counsel staff RN's on a regular basis, providing clinical education and conducting follow-up procedures as necessary. Foster collaboration and independent thinking. Lead and round with the night staff. Mentor, coach, and implement performance and quality improvement.
This is a full-time Evening Flex position at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center/ 4 shifts per week / some weekends required
Preferred Criteria
* Previous leadership experience or charge nurse experience
* Previous Labor and Delivery experience
* EFM certification from NCC or PQF
Required Criteria
* Bachelor of Science in Nursing
* Current NY RN license
* Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience
* ACLS
