Nurses on Capitol HillThe Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) is a nonprofit membership organization dedicated to improving the health of women and newborns and strengthening the nursing profession. AWHONN represents the interests of 350,000 registered nurses working in women’s health, obstetric, and neonatal nursing across the United States.

In 2007, the AWHONN Public Policy Committee was created to help guide the direction of the organization’s advocacy efforts. The current Committee members helped to develop and will implement the 2021 Legislative Priorities for the association.
