Christiana Care Health System is searching for a proven nursing leader for the position of Vice President-Patient Care Services at the Christiana campus located in Newark, DE. This leader is responsible for the delivery of safe, high quality, patient centric clinical care for the women and children’s service line at the Christiana Campus, a 913 bed teaching hospital and Level 1 Trauma Center.
The Vice President collaborates with leaders and physicians within Christiana Care to design, implement and evaluate programs, policies and procedures that ensure the clinical team achieves clinical and operational goals and performance metrics. This is a transformational leader who is current with national, state and local nursing trends and continuously seeks out opportunities to infuse innovative approaches to the delivery of patient care. The Vice President ensures the leadership team and nursing staff provide exceptional patient care and customer service while maintaining appropriate nursing staffing levels and costs within budget.

Qualified candidates must possess the following:
Master’s degree in nursing or related field.
Five (5) years recent and progressive leadership experience in a clinical setting.
Demonstrated competence in administration, education and clinical nursing knowledge.
Participation in professional nursing activities.
