Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants

Purpose of Job
This position is responsible for providing a full range of women's health care services. These services include prenatal, intra-partum, post-partum care, along with well-women care and family planning.
1. Provides initial and ongoing comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and treatment of women from adolescents through menopause. 2. Provides maternal and fetal assessment throughout pregnancy. 3. Documents detailed patient health information. 4. Provides routine CNM care during labor and delivery. Consults when appropriate. 5. Provides GYN care to essentially healthy women. 6. Provides 1st assist for C-sections. 7. Prescribes appropriate interventions and medications. 8. Serves as a member of the primary health care team and works in collaboration with the medical staff to provide comprehensive health care to women. 9. Provides water birth support. 10. Performs other duties as assigned.
1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and formal nurse midwife training program approved by the AMCB 2. Current professional nurse licensure in Minnesota or if licensed in another state, a permit from the Minnesota Board of Nursing while the license application is in process 3. Current AMCB certification 4. Current DEA Licensure 5. Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification

Ability to work and multi-task in a high stress and fast paced environment 4. Ability to work autonomously and as a team 5. Ability to respond appropriately to unpredictable situations and diverse patient populations 6. Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above
